An amnesiac thrust into a violent world of beasts and hunters, he must race to discover who he is before the Hunt turns him into someone else entirely, as the Hunt too often does.

Great volumes of water serve as a bulwark guarding sleep, and an augur of the eldritch Truth. Overcome this hindrance, and seek what is yours.

When Fulgrim stands again, his clothes are miraculously clean once more. He wonders, a little humorously, if he ought to thank them for cleaning him up as well. Instead he holsters his pistol and looks around for the Doll. She’s up the hill a little ways, kneeling in front of a small gravestone. He pauses behind her, uncertain if he should interrupt, but she stands, shaking out her skirts.

“Welcome home, good hunter. What is it you desire?” She asks, and it sounds warm. He wonders silently how a doll can be so gently warm and inviting, and puts it out of his mind.( Read more... )
